BIO:

Chris Robertson developed his skills as a singer and lyricist while writing songs with Tim Butler (Psychedelic Furs) from 1994 to 1997 for their side project, Feed. The band recorded enough material for two albums before Robertson moved on to front the New York-based band, Punch Havana, from 1997 to 2001. After recording two EPs and one LP with Punch Havana, Robertson decided to release his first solo record, Here We Are, in 2004.

During the last four years he has written over 90 songs and has started to piece together his second solo record. Lyrically most of the songs reflect Robertson's observations and obsessions, but the Dubya EP reflects a recurring conversation Robertson has been having over the last few years.

The songs include the blunt, folk/eno-like commentary on the current Administration, Dubya; the honest and sinister, In the Name; the dark yet hopeful, piano driven, Ice; and the light, funny, rocking, Regrets.

Dubya is an atmospheric and intimate recording that builds on what he started with on Here We Are, yet it is a welcome return to the guitar driven compositions of Robertson's earlier work. He manages to blend David Gilmour, The National, Doves and Mark Lanegan, in a way that is recognizably
his own sound.

The Dubya EP was recorded in NYC in October 2007 and later mixed and produced by Jesko Stahl in the Spring of 2008.
